MITTAGONG PARK, GRONG GRONG

Mittagong Park - 606* hectares (1,495*ac) is well suited to livestock, grain, and fodder production. The property has an excellent management history having been held by the vendors since 1995.

Mittagong Park with 4km of frontage to the Newell Highway, considered a Jewell on the Newell. Situated approximately 11 kilometres west of Grong Grong, 13 kilometres north east of Narrandera and 90 kilometres north west of the Wagga Wagga with its regional Livestock Marketing Centre.

This year at Mittagong Park the vendors sowed 98ha* tetrone rye; 44ha* tetrone rye and brassica and 68ha* bouncer brassica, all pastures were sown with 50kg MAP. In May 78ha* GTL60 winter active Lucerne was sown. Multiple soil tests were taken in February 2020 and area available.

The vendors have long term run the Deepdene Poll Dorset Stud carrying 400 stud ewes, 200 ewe replacements and 250 rams plus a commercial merino flock of 1,200 ewes. Current stock on hand includes 250 Dorset stud ewes with lambs at foot; 80 Dorsett ewe hoggets; 135 Dorsett ram hoggets. There are 340 Merino ewes with lambs at foot and 260 Merino ewe hoggets.
